00:00:00.080 --> 00:00:01.064
Hey, what is up?

00:00:01.064 --> 00:00:04.208
Welcome to this episode of the Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur podcast.

00:00:04.208 --> 00:00:16.867
As always, I'm your host, brian Lofermento, and it has been an insane election week here in the United States and, for the first time ever in almost 1,000 episodes it's time for me to speak out.

00:00:16.867 --> 00:00:23.010
I've got a lot to say about who I believe is the most important president of our lifetimes, so I've got a lot to say.

00:00:23.010 --> 00:00:28.434
I don't know if you're going to like this one Probably most people won't like what I'm about to say but we all need to hear this.

00:00:28.594 --> 00:00:32.540
We don't just need to hear it, but we need to take it to heart in our lives and in our businesses.

00:00:32.540 --> 00:00:33.801
I'm excited about this one.

00:00:33.801 --> 00:00:38.906
Let's dive in, all right.

00:00:38.906 --> 00:00:56.131
So I have quite some things to say, because the media has been talking to us for many months at this point so many months and I'm not going to rehash all of the things that they've said about how important this election is and it's the most important election of our lifetimes, because I'm not a political commentator.

00:00:56.131 --> 00:01:10.799
I'm not here to serve that function here in today's episode of this solo Sunday of the Entreprene to entrepreneur podcast, but what I really want to have a very open and transparent conversation about is truly the most important president of our lifetime.

00:01:10.799 --> 00:01:28.873
Because, if you think about the topics that matter to all of us and I really I'm going to preface today's episode and say that I don't care which side of the aisle that you're on I think there's going to be, I hope there's going to be, some universal truths in today's episode, because when I think about what we all care about, let's make a list.

00:01:28.873 --> 00:01:31.302
We all care about the freedom of speech.

00:01:31.302 --> 00:01:38.484
We all care about the freedom of protection, of defense, of being safe, of peace, of clarity.

00:01:38.484 --> 00:01:40.049
We care about all of these things.

00:01:40.049 --> 00:01:43.584
We care about health and wellness of ourselves, of our loved ones.

00:01:43.804 --> 00:02:04.971
I know that a lot of the narrative has been about female reproductive rights and so much that goes along with all of these big topics, and I certainly don't have the answers to many or any of these topics, but I think what you'll hear from me today is something that has really deeply settled with me for probably most of my adulthood, because I love watching the political news cycle.

00:02:04.971 --> 00:02:07.185
I love watching it just from a marketing perspective.

00:02:07.185 --> 00:02:15.473
There's so many lessons that we can learn about messaging and having a message resonate with an audience and really understanding people.

00:02:15.473 --> 00:02:22.485
It's such a core component not only of politics and of life, but especially in business, and there's so much that we can learn from elections.

00:02:22.485 --> 00:02:26.366
But when I think about worldwide peace, it's something I think we all care about.

00:02:26.366 --> 00:02:27.699
I hope that we all care about.

00:02:27.980 --> 00:02:41.645
When I think about prosperity, that's something we want to see people succeed, and so this year we have put so much focus onto the election cycle and I know that for so many people it's been a distraction, and rightfully so.

00:02:41.645 --> 00:03:08.830
It's an important topic that truly impacts all of us, and I think what we're going to be left with here in the aftermath of the United States presidential election is the fact that we have to confront who is the most important president of our lifetimes, because we have a choice today to start embracing and you're going to hear my views on what embracing this president means we're gonna have to make a choice to embrace the most important president of our lifetimes.

00:03:08.830 --> 00:03:28.367
Spoiler alert it's not who you think I'm gonna say and it's not what you think I'm gonna say, because when I think about the choices that we make from here, I love having this conversation in Q4, towards the end of the calendar year, because a new year is almost upon us, in 2025, yes, it's going to kick off a new four-year presidential term.

00:03:28.367 --> 00:03:31.218
As you know, I'm kind of shying more and more away from that.

00:03:31.218 --> 00:03:33.806
The more this episode goes on, the more this conversation goes on.

00:03:33.806 --> 00:03:45.211
I hope you're starting to realize it's less about politics and it's more about asking ourselves the most important questions of who is going to enable my ability to use my voice.

00:03:45.211 --> 00:03:51.848
Who is going to most enable and empower my ability to express the things that are important to me?

00:03:51.848 --> 00:03:58.050
Who is going to give me that power to start being the change that I wish to see in the world?

00:03:58.050 --> 00:04:06.248
Who is going to enable me and empower me and give me truly give me that power to focus on my health and wellness?

00:04:06.248 --> 00:04:14.923
Who's going to focus on the health and wellness of my loved ones, whether that's your parents, your kids, your siblings, your nieces and nephews, your friends, whoever it may be?

00:04:14.923 --> 00:04:21.247
Who's the president that's going to let you focus on those things and flourish in those ways?

00:04:21.247 --> 00:04:22.966
Let's talk about prosperity.

00:04:23.343 --> 00:04:25.661
Here we are on the Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur podcast.

00:04:25.661 --> 00:04:33.408
We all vehemently believe, strongly believe, in the power of entrepreneurship to do good, not only to enrich ourselves.

00:04:33.408 --> 00:04:43.281
That's a natural byproduct of giving value in the marketplace, but we all believe in impact, in helping others, in making our industries, however big or small those are.

00:04:43.281 --> 00:04:46.201
We believe in making those better places.

00:04:46.201 --> 00:04:49.870
Who's going to enable and empower us to do those things?

00:04:49.870 --> 00:04:53.221
Career-wise, prosperity-wise, impact-wise?

00:04:53.221 --> 00:04:57.810
Who's going to enable us to grow our businesses as much as we want to?

00:04:57.810 --> 00:05:00.163
Who's going to enable all of those things?

00:05:00.163 --> 00:05:15.908
Well, I've got the answer, and that's why I wanted to come on today's episode and also I'm simultaneously live streaming this to my Facebook and my Instagram, because I feel this strongly about this conversation and who is the president that's going to enable us to focus on all of these things?

00:05:15.908 --> 00:05:18.387
It's the most important president of our lifetime.

00:05:18.387 --> 00:05:23.211
It's the reason why I put it in today's episode, because that president is you.

00:05:24.000 --> 00:05:39.444
The most important president of our lifetime is you because you are the only one who has the power to look after yourself in all of these most important facets of life and of business.

00:05:39.444 --> 00:05:48.127
You are the only one that's going to choose how your voice is used for the next four years and the next 40 years and beyond.

00:05:48.127 --> 00:05:57.088
You truly are the only person who's going to be empowered to look after your health and wellness.

00:05:57.088 --> 00:06:04.214
You are the only one that can help yourself eat better, sleep correctly, hydrate enough.

00:06:04.214 --> 00:06:08.877
You are the only one that can and will make these choices.

00:06:08.877 --> 00:06:13.512
You are the only one who will be able to look after the people who are closest to you.

00:06:13.512 --> 00:06:27.293
You are the only one who's going to determine how much action you take and how many steps you take in the direction of your dreams, whatever that means for you if you want to launch and grow your business.

00:06:27.293 --> 00:06:31.872
You are truly the only one who's going to be able to do that.

00:06:32.447 --> 00:06:40.911
I know a lot of people 50% of people who are hearing me right now are not going to be happy about the results this week, and that's perfectly okay.

00:06:40.911 --> 00:06:48.851
In fact, I wanna speak to both halves of that 100%, both sides of 50, because together it is one whole unit.

00:06:48.851 --> 00:06:59.557
And the truth for every single one of us is that yesterday we were the most important president of our lives and today we remain the most important president of our lives.

00:06:59.557 --> 00:07:05.173
The question for each and every one of us is are we going to step into that power?

00:07:05.173 --> 00:07:13.757
Are we going to choose to truly be the president of our lives, of our businesses, of any endeavor that we're embarking upon?

00:07:13.757 --> 00:07:31.932
That's the question because you do have that power in your life, more so than anybody else who sits in the White House or sits in the halls of Congress or sits in any power, any legislative, chamber of commerce or chamber of Congress or any other powerful body.

00:07:31.932 --> 00:07:39.615
You have more power in your life and I think it's something that a lot of us forget at this time of year.

00:07:39.615 --> 00:07:49.391
A lot of us forget at these important points in history because the media has you believing all of these things that a president is going to control in all of our lives.

00:07:49.391 --> 00:07:54.529
But still, the most important decisions in our lives happen daily.

00:07:54.529 --> 00:07:56.516
They happen individually.

00:07:56.516 --> 00:08:06.646
They happen in our kitchens, they happen behind our computers, they happen in our relationships with others, they happen in the conversations that we're having in our lives.

00:08:06.646 --> 00:08:11.737
They happen in what we choose to allow to come into our minds.

00:08:11.737 --> 00:08:14.428
That's why I've always been a fan of that quote.

00:08:15.290 --> 00:08:17.636
Ships don't sink because of the water around them.

00:08:17.636 --> 00:08:21.411
Ships sink because of the water that gets in them.

00:08:21.411 --> 00:08:24.156
There's a whole lot of water out there right now.

00:08:24.156 --> 00:08:27.326
There's been water for this entire election cycle and, trust me, we're not in the clear just yet.

00:08:27.326 --> 00:08:27.954
There's a whole lot of water out there right now.

00:08:27.954 --> 00:08:29.315
There's been water for this entire election cycle and, trust me, we're not in the clear just yet.

00:08:29.315 --> 00:08:34.360
There's going to be a heck of a lot more waves and water in the months to come, and for sure, in the years to come.

00:08:34.360 --> 00:08:36.525
That will never change.

00:08:36.525 --> 00:08:48.207
What we can control is how much of that water we let onto our ship, because, again, I'm going to reiterate that quote ships don't sink because of the water around them.

00:08:48.207 --> 00:08:51.875
Ships sink because of the water that gets in them.

00:08:52.456 --> 00:08:59.898
And so, for you and I, as the presidents of our lives, we are the ones who are going to choose what gets into my mind.

00:08:59.898 --> 00:09:01.047
What am I listening to?

00:09:01.047 --> 00:09:02.551
What am I paying attention to?

00:09:02.551 --> 00:09:04.916
What are the daily choices that I'm making?

00:09:04.916 --> 00:09:21.331
Whoever is in the White House, whether they're great, whether they're terrible, who cares within the sense of personal actions, personal choices, personal empowerment that's what's going to dictate our personal results for the next four years and beyond.

00:09:21.331 --> 00:09:24.698
I'm not saying that politics don't matter.

00:09:24.698 --> 00:09:25.792
I'm not saying that elections don't matter.

00:09:25.792 --> 00:09:39.177
I'm not saying that elections don't matter, but what I am saying is that there's something more important than these things, and that is you and I being the presidents of our own lives, you and I taking it upon ourselves to truly.

00:09:39.216 --> 00:09:44.096
When I say that you're the president of your life, I mean it in all the ways that we're talking politically.

00:09:44.096 --> 00:09:47.313
You're the one who gets to make the laws for your life.

00:09:47.313 --> 00:09:55.254
You need to sit down and ask yourself what am I going to tolerate, what am I not going to tolerate, what are my rules for me?

00:09:55.254 --> 00:09:58.173
What's the way that I want to live my life?

00:09:58.173 --> 00:10:09.633
You get to make all of those choices if you choose to step into this leadership role, the most important leadership role of your life the president of your life.

00:10:09.633 --> 00:10:14.374
You're the only one who gets to choose which peace treaties you get to broker.

00:10:14.374 --> 00:10:21.253
You're the only one who gets to choose what your inner FDA decides to do for yourself and your loved ones.

00:10:21.253 --> 00:10:24.589
You're the only one who gets to choose what prosperity looks like.

00:10:24.589 --> 00:10:25.918
You're the only one who gets to choose what prosperity looks like.

00:10:25.918 --> 00:10:29.572
You're the only one who gets to choose how you spend your time.

00:10:29.572 --> 00:10:38.389
You're the only one who gets to choose what you work on, the impact that you make, the people that you serve, the conversations that you have, the people that you surround yourself with.

00:10:38.389 --> 00:10:44.075
You're the only one who's the president of your life and gets to make these choices.

00:10:44.075 --> 00:10:51.003
There are a lot of other big choices and people have had their say for the past few months, for the past few years.

00:10:51.003 --> 00:10:54.352
They'll always be having their say on that more macro level.

00:10:55.135 --> 00:11:08.388
But today, behind the microphone for the Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur podcast, I feel very strongly about the fact that we, especially as entrepreneurs, we spearhead innovation, opportunity, job growth, personal growth.

00:11:08.388 --> 00:11:09.991
We spearhead as entrepreneurs.

00:11:09.991 --> 00:11:14.470
We have a huge responsibility, not only to ourselves but to the people that we serve.

00:11:14.470 --> 00:11:24.067
We have a massive responsibility to be those change agents, to be the change that we wish to see in the world, and that's a power, very fortunately, that we have.

00:11:24.067 --> 00:11:26.436
I love so many things about entrepreneurship.

00:11:26.504 --> 00:11:28.273
My life has changed through entrepreneurship.

00:11:28.273 --> 00:11:30.011
The internet is the great equalizer.

00:11:30.011 --> 00:11:33.851
I started my first business with less than $100 when I was a college kid.

00:11:33.851 --> 00:11:35.773
It was the summer after my freshman year of college.

00:11:35.773 --> 00:11:40.552
That decision in the middle of the night completely changed my life.

00:11:40.552 --> 00:11:45.347
It took a lot of work and it continues to take a lot of work and I'm gonna continue to have to commit.

00:11:45.347 --> 00:11:51.458
I'm going to continue to have to be the president of my life and continue to make those choices in my life.

00:11:51.458 --> 00:11:54.053
That responsibility will never go away.

00:11:54.053 --> 00:12:00.966
But the important thing about that responsibility is one, that I acknowledge it, and two, that I step into it.

00:12:00.966 --> 00:12:18.321
And three, that I own it, that no matter what is happening anywhere else in the world, I continue to make those changes, at least on a micro level, the level that I can most control, to do the most amount of good that I see within my powers and within my reach.

00:12:18.321 --> 00:12:20.899
I need to own that role.

00:12:21.951 --> 00:12:34.101
We are the most important presidents of our lives, and when I log on to Facebook and when I log on to any social media platform, I see a lot of people that are great soldiers for so many other causes.

00:12:34.101 --> 00:12:35.712
It's the one thing I always have.

00:12:35.712 --> 00:12:47.696
This conversation with so many other entrepreneurs is how quickly we'll speak out for other causes as the soldiers of those, as somebody else's causes that someone else is fighting for, and we're amplifying their message, and that's good for the things we believe in.

00:12:47.696 --> 00:12:49.317
That's a very good trait.

00:12:49.317 --> 00:13:00.871
It's great to use our voices to amplify things, but are we doing that with our own lives, with our own messages, with our own businesses, with our own good that we want to bring to the world?

00:13:00.871 --> 00:13:07.855
Because if we're not, it doesn't make sense to be a soldier when we're not stepping into being the president of our own lives.

00:13:08.616 --> 00:13:12.591
So there's no perfect way for me to sum this up.

00:13:12.591 --> 00:13:30.350
There's no perfect way for me to assuage both sides of the aisle and in both sides of people who are happy or unhappy, or indifferent to what has happened this week within the election cycle, other than pointing out that we remain in power, the most important president of your life, which is you.

00:13:30.350 --> 00:13:43.056
You remain in power and, in fact, the more that you own this, the more that you acknowledge this, the more that you step into it, the more powerful, the more important and the more good that that president can do.

00:13:43.056 --> 00:13:53.576
And I think it's important for us to confront this, because the media TV, internet, social media they all want our attention and it's up to us if we give it to them.

00:13:53.576 --> 00:13:57.120
Or, I would argue, the president's pretty busy.

00:13:57.120 --> 00:14:01.758
The president's got more important matters to tend to, and that's the things that we can control.

00:14:01.758 --> 00:14:03.750
Are you doing good in the world?

00:14:03.750 --> 00:14:06.158
Are you taking care of your health and wellness?

00:14:06.158 --> 00:14:07.657
Are you reserving your own inner peace?

00:14:07.657 --> 00:14:08.943
Are you taking care of your health and wellness?

00:14:08.943 --> 00:14:10.009
Are you reserving your own inner peace?

00:14:10.009 --> 00:14:14.197
Are you looking after for the people that you care about the most?

00:14:14.197 --> 00:14:21.187
Are you working on the things that you want to be working on to positively impact the people that you're meant to serve?

00:14:21.187 --> 00:14:24.556
Those are the important questions for us at the end of.

00:14:24.556 --> 00:14:29.182
I think what's always a controversial, a contentious so many different words that we could come up with to describe the political of.

00:14:29.182 --> 00:14:33.352
I think what's always a controversial, a contentious so many different words that we could come up with to describe the political cycle, the election cycle.

00:14:33.352 --> 00:14:41.159
But this is an important one and I hope we all embrace it in our own lives because you truly are the most important president of your life.

00:14:41.159 --> 00:14:43.437
That's it for me in today's episode.

00:14:43.437 --> 00:14:45.210
Make sure you pound that subscribe button.

00:14:45.350 --> 00:14:47.499
Episode 1,000 is coming up so quickly.

00:14:47.499 --> 00:14:52.481
December 18th is gonna be a very special episode in this show's history.

00:14:52.481 --> 00:15:01.155
Literally nobody on the planet, except for one person and it's not even a family member for me, it's not anyone on the entrepreneur to entrepreneur team.

00:15:01.155 --> 00:15:06.966
Nobody knows what's coming up in episode 1000, aside from myself and one other person on the planet.

00:15:06.966 --> 00:15:08.490
It's going to be a fun one.

00:15:08.490 --> 00:15:11.116
It's going to be a lot of real, raw, authentic stuff.

00:15:11.116 --> 00:15:11.606
That's important.

00:15:11.606 --> 00:15:12.832
I've not recorded it just yet.

00:15:12.832 --> 00:15:13.195
This is.

00:15:13.195 --> 00:15:19.631
We're very ahead of the production calendar, but this is one thing that I've been saving up my sleeves because I want it to be in that moment.

00:15:19.631 --> 00:15:22.177
It's going to be a very important moment in this show's history.

00:15:22.177 --> 00:15:24.440
So all of that is just a little bit of a teaser.

00:15:24.440 --> 00:15:32.797

Thank you.
