Hi, Maureen! Thanks for joining us today. Tell us about your business. Who do you serve, how do you serve them, and what's the impact that your business and work makes?
I work with entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses and get amazing results quickly, without the struggle or time-consuming methods. I also pay attention to health and well-being, from a unique view, to finally release old symptoms and the sick and tired feeling you've had for years! The impact is transformational for both individuals and businesses, from income acceleration to financial mastery, and business development to feeling better than ever and being in one's purpose and true creativity. Which is where true fulfillment and joy for what you do lie.
Tell us about the moment you finally felt like you went from wantrepreneur to entrepreneur.
There were two moments. When I doubled, then tripled my own income and second had to fully own the results I was giving to others and begin telling people that I help entrepreneurs to double even triple their income in 30 days or less.
Describe the moment or period in your life/career that motivated you to make the entrepreneurial leap.
When I wanted to create something meaningful for myself, to prove that I could do it and get away from working for someone else.
Describe a tool, service, or software that has been a game-changer for your business. How does it contribute to your success?
The biggest game changer for me and my business has been hiring a mentor. It literally changed everything, because the thoughts and beliefs you have running in your mind determine your success or lack of it. You can't get them to change on your own. I was so determined to succeed and he saw it in me, which was so amazing.
We know that success is very often a non-linear path. Tell us about a failure, pivot point, or lesson that changed your course or direction and helped to get you where you are today.
First of all, there are many lessons along every entrepreneurial path, some of them unpleasant and all of them beneficial. One of the biggest for me was realizing that there is a time and place for marketing and it doesn't take away the need to learn sales and be really good at it.
What unconventional strategy did you employ that significantly impacted your business?
I built my business without a website at a time when it was widely held as necessary.
What’s something you wish you knew sooner that you’d give as advice for aspiring or newer entrepreneurs?
To learn about and pay attention to your finances. Most business owners don't. I am a very organized person, so they were organized, I just didn't have the mastery I do now. So now I teach it to our clients. It's not just about 'knowing your numbers' it's about knowing the ins and outs of business finances, business credit, and debt. It's about knowing how to set your rates and the programs you offer to clients too.
