Hi, Graeme! Thanks for joining us today. Tell us about your business. Who do you serve, how do you serve them, and what's the impact that your business and work makes?
We implement Fortune 100 data strategies to help growing businesses simplify, modernize and automate their data so they can scale efficiently and become more attractive acquisition targets.
Tell us about the moment you finally felt like you went from wantrepreneur to entrepreneur.
The moment I stopped waiting for somebody else to give me permission and gave it to myself.
Describe the moment or period in your life/career that motivated you to make the entrepreneurial leap.
After 20 years climbing the corporate ladder, my dream job morphed into a nightmare where success meant playing politics rather than delivering transformative work; the cognitive dissonance between the values leaders preached and their individually motivated actions became too much.
Describe a tool, service, or software that has been a game-changer for your business. How does it contribute to your success?
AI has been transformative. After spending two years educating myself, experimenting with it, and learning when and how to use it effectively, I'm positioned at the front of this exciting wave, able to deliver enterprise-level insights and solutions to clients who previously couldn't access them.
We know that success is very often a non-linear path. Tell us about a failure, pivot point, or lesson that changed your course or direction and helped to get you where you are today.
Being rejected from Cambridge University taught me that setbacks often redirect you to where you truly belong; it pushed me beyond academic tunnel vision to develop the relationship-building and leadership skills that became my superpowers in the corporate world and now fuel my entrepreneurial success.
What unconventional strategy did you employ that significantly impacted your business?
I deliberately disconnected from technology—including regular phone-free days—to reclaim my time, energy, and focus, which paradoxically made me more effective at implementing AI and technology solutions for clients because I'm operating from a place of intention rather than digital addiction.
What’s something you wish you knew sooner that you’d give as advice for aspiring or newer entrepreneurs?
The corporate world rewards different skills than entrepreneurship—titles, past accomplishments, and team size mean nothing compared to solving valuable problems for engaged audiences, creating positive cash flow, and building momentum.
